The Melbourne History Walk takes you on a stroll down one of the city's oldest and most prestigious streets. Exploring the architecture, art, retail and commercial institutions of this central thoroughfare will reveal not only the urban history of Collins St but that of the entire city as it has developed over the last 150 years.
From the ‘Paris End’ to the financial district, you will discover how and why this grand tree lined boulevard has held the mantle of Melbourne's premier address since it was laid out as part of the city’s original grid of streets in 1837.
Other things to note
Melbourne's weather is notoriously fickle so best be prepared with wet weather gear, sunscreen and a hat.
