Due to Covid-19 restrictions we can only accept bookings from a private group, max 6 guests.
You will take part in a quintessentially British experience, boating on the River Thames. You will learn about barges, locks, and life along the river. A good riverside pubs will be never too far!
A typical cruise will start in Windsor where I will welcome you on board with a Cappuccino and a Danish Pastry. I will show you around the boat and chat briefly about safety procedures whilst on board. With that out of the way we will set on our journey. This will be your chance to slow down, relax and adapt to the pace of life on the river. The gorgeous and tranquil Berkshire landscapes will help you in the process and, if cold, a log fire stove will be on.
Boveney Lock will be only 50 minutes away and for those with no previous experience this will be a chance to familiarize with the procedure of 'passing a lock' and take active part with the handling of boat and gates. It's good fun and a way to learn about boating on the river.
The boat is very spacious and comfortable. You will have access to the aft covered deck and the roof of the boat that on a nice warm day is ideal to sunbathe while enjoying the scenery. The bow deck, also covered, will be your own private area where you will be able to lounge and enjoy the scenery while sipping a a glass of wine and taking pictures.

My passion for boats started on the Adriatic Sea when I was a teenager. Since, I have sailed extensively in Italy, Croatia, The Solent and I have also completed the crossing of the Tasman Sea between Sydney and New Zealand. I have lived in London for over 20 years and the Thames is for me a natural connection to the sea. Over the years I have explored every corner of it and I have come to appreciate and love all the different aspects this river has to offer. This passion for boats, sea and the Thames is at the heart of my Experience. I do hope that with taking part in my experience you too will discover an aspect of this river that will catch your imagination and encourage you to return for more.

We had a perfect day for our friends surprise birthday celebration. Luigi and Monica were both very accommodating (even when we were quite late due to traffic) and made everything feel easy.
They make you feel as if you are on a floating home away from home for a few hours and we had a beautiful day. If in doubt, please just book. You won’t be disappointed - already recommended to my mother in law who will be booking later in the year with her group of friends :)

We spent a wonderful day on Luigi’s boat today! Me, my wife and our two daughters enjoyed every bit of it: from Luigi and Monica’s amazing hospitality to the breathtaking scenery, all the way through delicious food and great comfort. I highly recommend the experience to everyone looking to escape the city and spend a day out in the nature with the company of excellent hosts. We will definitely be back for more but in the meantime a big ‘grazie’ to Luigi and Monica for this unforgettable experience!

The trip on Luigi’s beautiful boat was a birthday treat with 4 friends and we have all had the most brilliant day. We were made to feel very welcome and so special. The journey was fantastic and being able to participate with the locks was great. All the many refreshments and delicious lunch were beautifully served and the whole day was a fantastic experience that we are all keen to repeat and recommend.

Luigi and Monica were amazing, friendly passionate hosts. They welcomed us with ease and made us feel at home. The breakfast and lunch they provided had a real sense of homeliness. They let us get involved in the experience with confidence which made the day even the more special. All 6 of us had a day we won't forget and would highly recommend it to everyone.

I would highly recommend booking a trip with Luigi. I booked a day out with him to celebrate my fiancé’s 40th birthday. It was a surprise so I had some specific requirements. From the very beginning of the booking process Luigi was understanding and helpful. He accommodated my request and answered the questions I had.
On the day itself my fiancé and I had an amazing time with Luigi. Luigi has a wonderful personality that makes you feel relaxed as soon as you get on board. He’s so chilled out. He talked us through how the boat worked and I was really impressed to hear he has been working with boats all his life. He also cooked a lovely lunch for us.
I can’t wait to repeat this experience with family and friends soon.
