體驗簡介
In this experience, we will explore the history of Kawara—the traditional roof tiles of Japan. You will also learn about Japanese culture in the area of Kyoto near the Touhukuji Temple complex. I will show you around and we'll discuss the various small ogre tiles, and you'll even get the opportunity to touch some of them. You'll learn about the history of Japan through these tiles—a history and culture passed down through word of mouth—not found in any books.

I was born into and am the third generation of a renowned Japanese tile shop, a long-established store that has been around for nearly 100 years. I'm fifth generation if you include the time before the business became the corporation it is today. I studied tile engineering in construction and performed a historic tile tour experience program . I have been surrounded by the tile culture since I was born. I can only speak a little English but my friend will help as an interpreter.
