體驗簡介
You will start with this experience in the old traditional 16th century house of Konavle region. It shows the way our ancestors lived, hard work in agriculture and traditional costume. The Limestone house is perfect for the summer time as it provides cool and fresh air, grape and kiwi fruit trees making a shade on the terrace. We will try some grappa and learn how it's made as well as some homemade liqueurs. Silk production is very important even in these days, so you are welcome to learn about the life of silk worms. I will show you the old oil press, a machine powered by horse or donkey, that produces olive oil, and i'll give you a history on how olive oil to our ancestors was more than just an accompaniment to food and cooking! We'll then take a short drive to river Ljuta, to see the mills which were used to press corn to make flour for bread. A short walk along the river Ljuta, well strike up curious conversations, like how carat for gold got it name over carob. This day would be full of experience and learning new this from our tradition.

I'm been working as a tour guide for 13 years and a host on airbnb for 6 years. I like showing people the way of living and I know how to make history interesting. There are so many amazing things from the past, and I'm happy to see that today they are not just in the museums but alive. Learn with me how to make homemade liqueurs , candied orange peels, dried figs, soaps from olive oil, herbs, life of silk worms and other curiosities from surrounding area of Dubrovnik.

The first place is the house of my grandmother. You can see how people lived in the past and learn how everything worked as a community. People had a lot more children than we have today, and in this house 25 people lived all together, so it is interesting to see how they were self sufficient with fruits and vegetables, olive oil, domestic animals, water... Second stop is a relaxing walk along the river and mills, away from the crowds.
