I'm going to show you my city in my unique way. Walking, or taking public transportation we'll surf the city center in search of folk and fine culture, traditional food, cool off-the beaten-path spots, local artists, and lively cafés and shops. We will also talk about community projects in the area in case you have the interest to volunteer there in the future . Every tour is different, depending on your interests, but here's a sample itinerary: a walking tour of the historic center, a visit to MMAPO museum (free), the city cathedral, a break in a cool café, a sneak peak into a few hip stores, and a visit to a local community project. If time allows, and you want to pay for a cab, we can also visit the Wavy wall or the Centro Cultural Teopanzolco.
I'm Gerardo Jaime, a "culture hunter," pioneer of voluntourism in Mexico, anthropologist, avid traveler, father, social activist, constant idea generator to "change the world," help communities in need, or create new experiences for travelers. I'm a natural connecter, mediator, trying to bridge people, ideas, communities. I'm somewhere in between old school and new school in terms of technology, traveling, interacting with the world and its amazing people. I'm a great host and ambassador of my Mexican culture. I love music, movies and travel.
