Hello, my friends call me Captain Sean as I have sailed and surfed around the world. I now live in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico and have searched and surfed this wonderful island to find the best surf spots on the island. Each surf spot has it own unique wave set up and it is very important to know where to go depending on the swell wind direction and time of year. Each day is a new adventure as there are great spots to score some great waves, You just needs a local to know where to go. If you are are a short boarder or long boarder or like me transitioned to a SUP there are waves for everyone to enjoy. This is a surf trip for experienced surfers only. There are other guides to teach beginners and I would be happy to give you there information upon request. We will go to where the waves are breaking. We will start out in our van, with boards already loaded an we are off on a surfing safari for three hours. Then we will go to a local spot for lunch and drinks. The food variety is incredible in Puerto Rico. On the ride back to Old San Juan I can give a short history lesson of Puerto Rico, some of the pirate tales along with where to go site seeing upon our return.
Other things to note
We are going to have a fun time surfing easy waves that go on forever. Most of the surf spots are fun and easy to ride. 4-8 ft. On occasion we do get bigger waves in the winter months 15 ft plus.

I was raised on sailboat in the Sea of Cortez. I have been fortunate to captain sailboats around the oceans, while surfing some incredible waves. I am a former life guard from San Diego, California, CPR certified in 1992, a PADI diver and professional sail boat captain. My true love is finding great waves and surfing with friends new and old. I have surfer for over 30 years and I know a the local spots on the island. One of the key elements is knowing where to go so you spend more time surfing and less time looking for waves.

We will go in our van to the various surf spots on the North shore of Puerto Rico. Most of these surf spots are very difficult to find and local knowledge is important to make sure you have the most time surfing not driving.
