The lower Titi Kerawang falls are more commonly known. But the higher and more beautiful falls are still a well-guarded secret accessed by a hidden trail. Along the way to these almost unknown higher waterfalls, the trail will pass farms of exotic pink ginger flowers which is used in Penang’s famous laksa; and many fruit orchards with durians, mangosteens, jackfruit and other seasonal fruits. Upon reaching the spectacular waterfall, guests will be able to dive into its cold refreshing waters in a natural pool. The duration of this hike is 2 hours, including a one hour swim or relaxing by the waterfall.
Other things to note
Shorts and t-shirt will do. Small camera or phone. Big cameras can easily be damaged.
After the hike there are possibilities to enjoy a good bowl of laksa or an excellent bowl of cendol in the town center of Balik Pulau.

There are many hiking trails in Penang. I am one hiker who explores trails without GPS. This way I have explored dozens and dozens of trails including many not marked on any map (a book of my hikes will be released in 2020) and many are unknown even to seasoned hikers.
I'll bring you to a wonderful and very unspoiled and unseen part of Penang's jungle.
Trails can be as short as 2 hours and as long as 10-12, I have walked them all. Wild life as tortoises, giant black squirrels, wild boar, snakes, monitor lizards, langur monkeys, scorpions, huntchman spiders and many more might cross our path. You haven't seen Penang without seeing the jungle and the orchards.

體驗地點
We'll start from the bus stop in Balik Pulau and go to the entry point of the hiking trail on the west side of Penang. From there we'll go into the plantations to Rexy's Crossing, where we will swim and explore the waterfall and take a different trail back.

Truly amazing experience to get in touch with with nature and tropical fruit farming, history of the area. Girls wear your swimmers underneath your clothes as there is no private change place. The swim in fresh running water from the waterfall is truly healing. Thanks Peter for an amazing experience.

2 of us joined this hike & what a wonderful experiencr hiking thru 2ndary forests and orchards. Peter was knowlegeable abt the area, he has hiked alot...made several stops to point out local fruit trees, plants. And the secret waterfall was such a special place ....we had an hour thereto refresh & swim & get to know others on this hike. We took a shorter route returning & enjoyed the best laksa & nutmeg juice in Balik Pulau. And 2 if us went ahead gor durians, mangosteens & dukung! Go join Peter for a wonderful day out in Balik Pulau.

Peter was a wonderful guide and so enthusiastic about the adventure and natural surroundings. I loved walking through all of the farms, especially because peter had developed great relationships with all of the farmers and they were really friendly. The only con was that the hike was all on a paved trail, and I’d much prefer to be on dirt!
