Estudio Roma is an art community where people from all over the world come to create and have fun! Experience is not required to take part in any of our activities. We explore different techniques and processes, and the workshops can be enjoyed by everyone.
When I first opened the studio, it was located in Colonia Roma, however we have moved to Condesa disctrict. I have kept the name Estudio Roma as that is where it started!
This is not a taught class, it is a self-led session.
Figure drawing is a drawing of the human form in any of its various shapes and postures using any of the drawing media.
The model will be making different poses from 5 to 45 minutes each.
The studio has different seats to choose from: Easels with stool, chairs, benches and tables. choose your preferred seat on arrival.
Basic materials are included (recycled paper, pencil, eraser)
You are welcome to brig your own materials, any size or media.
Other things to note
The studio is located in a 2 floors building (NO LIFT) , it is completely safe and easy to leave in case of emergency.
The studio has fire extinguishers and a first aid kit.

I´m a Mexican artist and alongside my personal practice, I also host creative airbnb experiences and run workshops. I studied Fine Arts at Universidad de las Américas Puebla. My work has been exhibited in different cities and I specialise in painting, sculpture and drawing. I manage an art studio called Estudio Roma where this experience takes place. I speak fluent English and Spanish so the experience can be in either language.

Estudio Roma is located in a beautiful Art Deco Style house in the heart of Condesa. The Condesa area is one of the most popular places to visit in Mexico City; you are surrounded by the colour green from the tree-covered walkways, and the architecture seen on streets all around the studio is totally unique. We are located just a few meters away from many trendy restaurants, coffee shops and pubs that we recommend you take the time to visit too!
I had a very good time at Diego’s studio. The place is so nice like dream studio for artists.
I love how the model girl posted. She’s so pretty and knows exactly how to get the best posture for live drawings.

I would recommend Diego's drawing session to those looking to spend a few hours drawing. The open session, during which you draw different poses, is fun and a good exercises for those looking to prqctice or just give it a try. However, note this is no a taught drawing class.

It was an awesome experience! I have zero experience with figure drawing (or drawing in general) but I managed to capture some poses in my own clumsy way within the time given and had a lot of fun while doing so. It was a really nice and comfortable atmosphere. Diego was very patient and gave me a few tips after the session. Would definitely recommend!
