We start the outing at the meeting point in the village of Mirca on the Island of Brač. At 10:00 am we will hike approximately 2 kms to the olive orchard. Accompany us while we do a few farm chores. Depending on the cycle this may include feeding the sheep, chickens, milking the goat. We spend the morning picking the fruit of the olive trees. Expect to learn about the history of the region and the family acreage, the olive process from picking to bottling, and the way we are choosing to raise our food and land. Enjoy a traditional style lunch with an open fire overlooking the Adriatic sea. We will have a tasting of the oil produced by the orchard, and some local wine. Picking wraps up with a hike back down to the village of Mirca for 2:30pm
Mariano & Crystal

Along with my wife, I look forward to revitalizing and regenerating the olive orchards that I have inherited. To teach my children and other's about the rewarding experience of living as close to earth as possible in a modern world.
