This guided tour is great for beginner kayakers or those unfamiliar with Beaver Creek. Sit back and let us do all the work! We will bring the kayaks to you, give you a guided tour, then we load everything up and bring it back to the shop for you. You will receive 2 hours of basic kayak instruction, a guided tour of the creek, and information about the variety of wildlife found in the area. Our guides, Scott or Dan, can help you spot river otter, nutria, beaver, heron, and osprey along the paddle. Scott Siegel has been exploring the Oregon Coast for the last 30 years and is always excited to share his passion for the water with others. After the guided tour has finished Ona Beach State Park is right across the highway and is a beautiful place to have lunch or go beach combing.

Dan started his career as a middle school teacher with a passion for surfing. After his students expressed an interest in learning how to surf he founded a surf club. He realized that teaching people how to surf gave him a greater purpose in life. For the past 15 years he has partnered with Oregon State University where students receive college credit for learning to surf. As a culmination of these experiences a philosophy was born. Surfing bridges the gap between strangers, nationalities, and cultures. No matter who you are or where you came from we are excited to share the stoke with you!

Beaver Creek is located about 15 minutes or 8 miles south of Newport. It is a protected wetland and boasts abundant wildlife. Your paddle will consist of an easy 2 mile long adventure. On our tours we have come across nutria, beaver, and various waterfowl. Beaver Creek boasts slow moving water, easy launch from the Ona beach dock, and a rich riparian habitat. This location is extremely scenic and relaxing.

The time spent with with my grandson and an experience guide like Scott made for a memorable time. We both really enjoyed the scenery and the time spent on the water. Scott really made us feel comfortable and his knowledge of the outdoors, added to the new experience. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to have a fun time.

Communicative and knowledgeable, Scott allowed us to set the pace. We were fortunate with the weather and had a leisurely kayak down Beaver Creek where we saw bald eagles, water rats, white cranes and blue herons. A great way to explore the beautiful Oregon coast.

We have nice kayak tour at Beaver Creek Park. Both of us, my wife and I, have never kayaking before. Scott, our guide, patiently guided us so that we could quickly do it and enjoy the rest of the tour. Scott is very knowledgeable of the environment and we learned a lots from him.

We had a nice quiet paddle on a beautifully tranquil creek. Our guide Scott was exceptional - helpful, patient and knowledgeable about the area’s flora and fauna. He *talked* just the right amount! Didn’t jabber on too much and seemed to sense when we just wanted to enjoy the peace and quiet. A very pleasant two hours!
