If you are an experienced sailor, this is the right program for you. Join a group of up to 4 guests and have fun on the Tagus river. Pé de Galinha is a 25" racing boat, designed by Bruce Farr.
We'll leave from Alcantara Harbour and sail for two hours along the Tagus river. This experience is meant for you to take the helm and enjoy the sailing. We will suggest the route, depending on the wind and tide. If we get close to Commerce Square or Belem, we'll give explanations on the monuments. During the experience, we'll supply water and chocolate bars.
Other things to note
We'll be sailing on a racing boat. Expect some adrenaline, specially when the boat heels.

I was born in Cascais, a fishermen's village, close to Lisbon. Been sailing all my life. Now I live on a classic 55 feet wooden boat, Halcyon I, that I use for Historical Boat Tours experiences. As I missed sailing on my own, I bought a Beneteau Platu 25, a small 25 feet racing boat, designed by Bruce Farr. narrow at the water line, that is great fun, for sailors. With Lisbon for sailor's experience, I want to share the great pleasure I have, sailing Pé de Galinha.

Sailing area will depend on tides and wind direction and strength. There is no specific route. The aim is to let guests take control of the boat and have fun.

This was a great day on the water, even with a day with little wind. During the lulls in the wind Luis told us such amazing history about the city and plenty of stories.
Was patient and a good teacher for the new sailers with us as well as sailors out of practice.
