We will meet at the so called d'Amboise Gate to enter the Medieval City of the Old Town. After a short walk through the old town we will reach the location where we will be painting. It is the so called Medieval Moat that allows us to keep social distancing as well as the artistic approach to this unique historical site. A brief historical information about the location will follow and afterwards I will explain you the basic techniques of aquarelle painting and I will assist you in painting your own unique aquarelle souvenir.
Other things to note
We will paint in shady locations during the hot summer months. If you have difficulties to sit on hard surfaces please bring a little pillow.

I was born in Germany but moved to Greece 20 years ago where I studied Fine Arts.
My passion is to paint aquarelle sketches of my environment, I have been doing this a lot especially during travelling. The results are always a unique memory on the particular place I visited. I would like to share this passion with people that visit Rhodes and are interested to do something creative during their holiday on this beautiful island.

體驗地點
We will be entering the Old Town at d'Amboise Gate and cross over a bridge into the Old Town. After a short walk we will decent some stair to reach the Medieval Moat, our painting location. It is a spacious area that allows us to practice social distancing.

We felt we knew Heike before we arrived in Rhodes and when we met she was very warm and welcoming. Her explanations on watercolour painting were detailed but simple for me, a total novice, but she kept my experienced painting friend involved. We had a beautiful location for painting and she was very encouraging in her praise and help. My friend has her enthusiasm for landscape painting renewed and I am encouraged to do more. It was a very special afternoon.

A must-do in Rhodos! The experience started with a walk through the old town and when we found a nice spot to sit down, Heike explained and demonstrated the basics of aquarell painting in detail. Heike is very kind, incredibly talented (I was quite in awe to learn from her!) and she is a great teacher. I would love to do it again.
