We will tell you legends and we will pass by historical palaces of the magical UNESCO village of Sintra, known as the Mountain of the Moon. It us considered a mystical place, with fairy tale monuments hidden in the mountains, once home of extravagant wealthy individuals that contributed to todays landscape.
After visiting an overwhelming palace with an international award winning garden, we will stop at the most Western point of continental Europe! You will be blown away be the power of mother nature!
Other things to note
Private transportation is required (we can arrange it including an adapted van if you let us know and pick you up). Bring your own lunch box.

We are Rita and Daniela, sisters, who live in Lisbon and love to travel. During a holiday abroad we had an eye opening experience that changed our mindset forever. A small event, like one of us using crutches temporarily, had a tremendous impact on our holiday experience. For the first time we were in an unfamiliar place with physical limitations. We understood the importance of the accessibility in the destinations. That motivated us to launch our own business, Portugal 4all Senses. We will visit a beautiful palace in the UNESCO Village of Sintra, 30 minutes from Lisbon by car. After this visit we will take you to Cabo da Roca, the most Western point of continental Europe. This experience is adapted to all included wheelchair users. You are going to love it!
Rita and Daniella went out of there way to show us a wonderful time in Sintra, even providing personal transportation! Starting with exploring the Monserrate Palace and ending with a visit to Cabo da Roca (the most western point in continental Europe) the day was filled with tons of enthusiasm, information and obviously lots of research into the accessibility of the area from our hosts. The best part was getting to know Rita and Daniella, and feeling like they were old friends by the end of it (we had also done the Feel The Old Lisbon Without Barriers experience with them the day before). My husband has uses adaptive devices to get around, so this was a perfect way to explore without having to worry about what was accessible. Just one thing to note: Since Pena Palace is inaccessible, it is not included in this tour. This is not a big deal, of course, but because it is what you think of when you envision Sintra (it's on Portugal's Lonely Planet cover! haha) this is just something to be aware of. That being said, Monserrate Palace was breathtaking, and the garden's were magical. We felt like we were seeing a part of Sintra that many don't get to. We would highly recommend this tour!
