Get dressed into all the necessary canyoning equipment
Walk minutes to the start of the canyon
Enjoy multiple slides and abseils down waterfalls, trying your hand at abseiling yourself and learning the sport of canyoning
Walk minutes back to our van to get changed
Drive back into downtown Queenstown for your drop off

48 hour cancellation policy applies

Myself and my husband Ross set up CNZ so we could share our passion of canyoning. We have concessions in multiple canyoning locations to suit the beginner or the experienced adventure seeker!

Ross is our adventure guide, he currently holds NZOIA (The New Zealand Outdoors Instructors Association's), highest canyoning qualification, level two, and is also an assessor for NZOIA in the Canyon Leader One qualification. Ross also holds his PHEC (Pre-hospital emergency care) first Aid Certificate.

The Gibbston Valley canyon is only accessible only by Canyoning New Zealand. It requires legal permission from the land owners and by and Work Safe New Zealand.
Attempting a canyoning mission should only be lead by a professional and experienced guide who understands the terrain and the environment to ensure you get the most fun in the safest way!
Attempting a canyoning mission should only be lead by a professional and experienced guide who understands the terrain and the environment to ensure you get the most fun in the safest way!
This experience was good fun, but hard work at times and a bit challenging, both physically and mentally. Even the 2, 19 year old men said they were surprised at the challenge. (We are very fit 59 year olds). I would suggest anyone who goes has a pretty good level of fitness and sense of adventure. Having said that, it’s a great outdoor experience and our guide was great! Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to really get in there.
