Through storytelling and night photography, you'll be experiencing the beauty of Highgate Village from both the historical and aesthetic dimensions. Naturally, the experience will start from the local pub of Highgate, where you will find the best and cheapest craft beer in town. You will then pass through the delightful Highgate Village, discover the memorable Highgate Cemetery where Carl Marx was buried, St Michael's Church and Hampstead Heath. You might even see a ghost when we will make our way to some of the oldest pubs in London, rumored to host ghosts from time to time...! The walk will be smooth and easy, and we will be talking long exposure night photography. Night photography, and long exposures in particular, offer the ideal tool to capture the old 1800's town of Highgate, and fast-paced London. Expect a photographic focus on landscapes, architecture, people, and much more. And between photographic shots do expect the local anthropologist, myself, to recount you interesting tales of the city and nerdy camera tricks.
Hey! I'm Mick! I am an anthropologist and storyteller, passionate about history and photography. I live in Highgate Village, one of the most magical, historically unique and architecturally interesting parts of the city. I'd love to share with you all that I've learned about this place, and make you see London for what it used to be!

I have selected some of the best places to practice and enjoy long exposure night photography. These include the main historic sights of Highgate, from Marx's tomb, the narrow alley ways of Highgate, to the beautiful view of the London skyline.
