I teach you how to make Veggie Sushi not only for vegetarian people, but also for the people who are not able to eat fish.
In my session of Kawaii Cooking, you can learn how to cook Pressed Sushi with seasonal vegetables.
-Oshi Sushi : pressed by an exclusive wooden mold. But if you don't have the mold for the lesson you can substitute with a normal small plastic container which you have in home. (please see the photos)
After you create your Oshi Sushi let's decorate your own plate!
You can join the lesson with your partner or your family.
Let's cook together and enjoy our precious time in home.
THE DISHES DOESN'T CONTAIN ANY ANIMAL PRODUCTS NEITHER FISH STOCK.
When your creation is complete you can eat it for lunch or dinner.

I am a "cooking researcher" who likes to renovate dishes on my original way, but keeping the traditional important points. I have experienced to teach to international visitors various Japanese dishes in Japan and foreign countries. In my twenties and thirties, I lived in Italy. During those years I was invited by many Italian friends to their homes and enjoyed many delicious homemade meals. I realized that spending time over a shared meal was a fantastic cross culture experience. When I got back to Japan I decided to teach Japanese cooking to international visitors. I have taught more than 200 people in these two years. I do catering and home delivery services, also have enormous experience to organize home parties with variety of food.

My kitchen is located in Sōka where it takes 20min. from Asakusa or Tokyo Skytree by Express train of the Tobu sky tree line. About more information please ask me by mail in advance. Sōka has a cutting-edge project. They are working to renovate abandoned old houses. My kitchen isn't only renovated typical old Japanese house in the precinct of a shrine but it is also High-tech kitchen studio. Why don't you join my lesson and come sightseeing ?

We had an excellent morning learning how to make the two types of sushi we ate for lunch. Although most of the ingredients were already prepped, everyone got a chance to make both types of sushi as well as mixing, stirring, etc. Keiko san spoke very good English and was extremely friendly and hospitable. Most importantly, the food was delectable, and we were provided with recipes so we could recreate the dishes at home. Highly recommend this for families, and for vegetarians in Japan this is a must.

I really loved this cooking class with Keiko because she took the time to explain each step and we were responsible for each step so I feel that I really learned something and that I would be able to create the recipe on my own. I also really liked that Keiko used seasonal Japanese ingredients so I learned about some new Japanese foods as well. The recipe we made was absolutely delicious and the conversation was lovely too. i highly reccomend this experience with Keiko and think it was worth every dollar spent!

Everything was really easy, fun and mostly delicious.
We discussed some ingredients that could be easily replaced with more "accesible" ones back in my country, so in general everything was really perfect!
