Medellin, the city of Eternal Spring, is known in Colombia for its flowers, textile industry, coffee and of course, for its delicious food.
In the comfort and tradition of a Colombian home we will prepare a typical Paisa breakfast. The corn was one of the first grains that seeded the indigenous in the Aburra Valley, thanks to the fertile land, today 400 years later is essential in our kitchen.
To cook and process corn get "arepas" and with them a taste of our ancestors. We will have the opportunity to prepare our mass of "arepas", we will cook them and we will learn to prepare them. We will enjoy breakfast with "aguapanela" (hot sweet water), "quesito" (paisa cheese) and "buñuelos" (another typical colombian snack).
Other things to note
If you are vegetarian o vegan, it is important to read this:
° "Arepa" is suitable for both.
° "Buñuelo" has egg, flour and cheese.
° "Arepa" and "buñuelo" have gluten.
