8 hour full day photography expedition.
We start the day picking you up from your hotel in our private transport and begin the journey into the Andes mountains, making a quick stop at a viewpoint to take some shots before heading into Chinchero to pick up some local empanadas to eat for lunch later in the day. We make a quick visit to a local textile market to learn about the process and take some portraits of the ladies there. Our next destination is Maras Salt Mines. We will take around 1.5 hours here to explore and seek out the best compositions for photography. Next we move to a beautiful lake framed with mountains to eat our empanadas and shoot a little before heading to our 'secret' landscape location. Here we will have a full landscape workshop and even get the chance to meet and photograph some of the local farmers who work the fields there.
As a bonus when this trip is booked on a Sunday we will visit a local Andean market in the morning which provides wonderful opportunity for some portraits of locals as they go about their daily business.
Note: This tour needs minimum 2 people to book, if you wish to book as one person please select the private group option.
Other things to note
Although no strenuous hiking is involved, comfortable walking shoes and suitable clothing is advisable.

This tour takes you on a journey through some incredibly photographically rich locations, from the fascinating Salt Mines of Maras to our own 'secret' landscape location with sweeping vistas of snow-capped mountains and the sacred valley. Get the chance to meet and photograph some of the locals going about their daily lives in these incredible places, all the time with the tips, advice and support from your photographer guide.
My daughters and I had an amazing day with Alex. He took us off the beaten path for some amazing views and photo opportunities and allowed us to mingle with some locals. Alex is very passionate about photography and is quite knowledgeable with the history of the area.

What a great experience! I feel like I really got to see some aspects of the world outside of Cusco I never would have made it to on my own. Alex was really friendly and led a first-rate tour. He's clearly made lots of friends with locals, and sets the tone for a culturally sensitive and respectful visit. Loved the opportunity to meet people, see animals, experience culture, and beautiful nature. Also, needs to be said that the driver is amazing. He gets kudos for being friendly, attentive, and safe. Amazing time, highly recommend.

Alex took me to several hidden gems around Cusco. At the farmer and textile markets, he knew many of the people whom kindly allowed me to take their portraits. Then, we visited several beautiful locations for both taking in the landscape and capturing it in. There were no tourists in sight, which was a breath of fresh air. Alex was a great host and our driver was very kind and attentive.
