Ikuko & Michael
Hi, I'm Ikuko and I was born and raised in a small countryside town in Kyoto. I began learning how to cook from a young age from both my grandma and mom. My passion for food and cooking continued through the years and is especially important now as my husband Michael and I raise our two young daughters Olivia and Margie. I am a certified Macrobiotic chef and have been teaching cooking classes to locals and international travelers since 2013. I really enjoy teaching about simple and healthy Japanese cuisine. My husband is also passionate about cooking and will assist with the experience.
5 dishes Rice, miso soup, a main dish, two side dishes

We will cook and eat at our house. We are also running a small B&B and you can find the info in airbnb. https://www.airbnb.jp/rooms/7501545?s=51 We are surrounded by the tea fields. You can enjoy walking in the town before/after the class. There are also a few tea cafes within 15 minutes walking distance.
