體驗簡介
This 4.6 mile sunset coastal walk on the level leads us south from Caernarfon along the Menai shoreline to St Baglan's Church, resting place of the late Lord Snowdon, Y Foryd Nature Reserve and back.
We meet by The Anglesey pub, cross over the River Seiont using the swing-footbridge from Caernarfon Castle, & turn right on the other side along the Aber-foreshore towards Llanfaglan and the Welsh Lagoon, Y Foryd.
Returning to Caernarfon you are invited to be my guest at the Royal Welsh Yacht Club, Porth yr Aur. Situated within Caernarfon's ancient Grade I listed walls, you can meet seafarers, sample Caernarfon's local ales, and take in the unique sea-faring perspective of the southern Menai Straits which the walk followed from the Barbican.
The experience is child friendly. Pets are welcome for the walk, but please make arrangements after. Public car parks nearby. Wear good walking shoes & clothes which will keep you dry if rain/wind are forecast. Bring swimwear & towel April-September
Other things to note
Welsh Lagoon dog walkers will need to leave their dogs somewhere safe for the duration of our visit to the Royal Welsh Yacht Club.
