Discover the fantastic wildlife of Rio de Janeiro on one of the largest urban forests in the world - Floresta da Tijuca. We will dive into the Atlantic Rainforest, walking the many trails, connecting to the natural wonders of the environment by visiting and feeling the great wonders of Brazilian's nature, such as small waterfalls and caves. On the way, you will get the to know animals and plants, who knows if we can spot the incredible howling monkeys? I've already stayed some nights at the heart of Tijuca National Park, having the chance to see the vibrant biodiversity that still survive on it. With a keen eye, trained to find small insects, we will surely see some of these beauties. Besides that, you will understand how such a forest resisted in the middle of the Marvelous City and learn the inside stories. We start at Leblon, taking a secret and beautiful road crossing the town by the forest, stopping by Vista Chinesa, an amazing viewpoint to the city. From the park entrance, we will walk many trails, including stops by Cachoeira das Almas and the hidden Cascata Diamantina (waterfalls), a visit to Gruta dos Morcegos and other caves. My suggested itinerary can be adapted.
I'm a biologist, National Geographic explorer, poet and wildlife photographer born and based on the Atlantic Rainforest of Rio de Janeiro. I founded Projeto Mantis, working to raise awareness and register the Atlantic Rainforest, one of the most endangered and biodiverse biomes in the world. We've been exploring the most diverse ecosystems within the biome, researching on praying mantises and connecting with the incredible wildlife, night and day. One of my greatest passions it to share these natural wonders through a unique view that mixes science, arts and culture.
Some snacks to be eaten on the way (you should bring your own too).
Traditional cold drink (Mate) and water. Bottles can be filled with fresh water inside the park.
We will take my privet car to reach the park and drive inside it when necessary.

你需要提供一張與你身份證明文件上的相片相符之相片。 以便Airbnb確認是次體驗的參加者。 你只需進行此步驟一次。
Cameras/Smartphones for photos.
As a wild and open area, we are subjected to the natural conditions. Take comfortable shoes, light clothing and long sleeves/pants if you are not used to nature. Mosquito repellent is advisable.
