Meeting on River Lane, by Petersham Meadow steps and the slipway, I'll start by introducing you to stand up paddle boarding. We'll then take to the water to paddle past some of the island in the River Thames and the historic houses that line it's banks. You'll get to see a side of the islands that very few people get to see and may well meet fellow watermen (or women) along the way. Having explored and chatted, we'll stop at a charming 17th Century riverside pub for a well earned drink before returning to the water to paddle back toward Richmond and it's iconic Hill, home to many a musician, explorer and writer over the years. You will finish at River Lane and from there be able to visit the Petersham Nurseries or Richmond Park and it's deer, or simply wander back along the tow path in to Richmond.
I have been 'messing around' on boards and in boats since I was very young and have had the pleasure of introducing thousands of people to paddlesports over the years. I am still as passionate about it today, if not more so! I love to provide micro-adventures closer to home and Richmond is a perfect and beautiful place to provide them in!
