When you are sheep farming there are always tasks that need doing. depending on the month we're in there are tasks such as bringing in the sheep to pass through at footbath in single file to ensure prevention of foot problems in the sheep, or we might need to catch the odd lame one to administer medicine. in March and April the mothers start to have lambs and continue to do so until the middle of May. Occasionally we need to catch them and assist with their lambing. we continually need to move the mothers and lambs to a new field, leaving the ones yet to lamb on their own. so, depending on the time of spring you arrive, I will take you with me to perform the routine tasks that I will be doing and I will often need your assistance in guiding sheep where we need to move them!!

I am dog trainer and part time sheep farmer. I also compete in sheepdog trials with my Border Collies in Ireland, UK and Europe. In 2018 I was a member of the Irish Sheepdog team along with my sheepdog partner, Bruce, and we went on to compete in the international sheepdog trial. I also judge sheepdog trials around Europe and the US. The Spring is always a very interesting time of year with the daylight hours stretching and the grass beginning to grow again. it is especially interesting for me around April because my sheep start having lambs and the cycle starts again.
you will come to our farm in the heart of Wicklow. it is lovely rolling countryside typical of Wicklow with woodlands and groves around the farm.
