***This Tour is on pause for the Winter. Will return in May*** ***Check out my "Diversity of Scarborough Tour" that runs all Winter or if you have a group of 6 or more feel free to contact me about a private East End tour over the Winter*** The East Danforth is one of the most interesting neighbourhoods to eat your way through! It is an awesome mix of old and new with classic neighbourhood favourites side by side with fresh and trendy eateries that show off an incredible mix of cuisine from around the world. On this tour we will walk along the Danforth and stop in at FIVE restaurants to sample cuisine from Ethiopia, Holland, Venezuela, Brazil, India and the West Indies while discussing the history of the neighbourhood and learning about the restaurateurs and small business owners that make this part of the city so special! I can accommodate vegetarian and vegan diets if requested prior to the tour date.
I was born and raised in Scarborough, which is known as the most culturally diverse part of Toronto. One of my favourite things about this part of the city is the incredible array of food from all over the world that is available here. I consider myself very lucky to have grown up here and been introduced to so many different cultures and flavours from a young age. I have been hosting small intimate food tours for few years in order to share some of my favourite hidden gems in Toronto's lesser visited neighbourhoods and suburbs. Please check out my "Diversity of Scarborough Food Tour" experience as well or check me out on Instagram @thelocalvibetours.
