As a sommelier, I will guide you through tastings of seven great wines and teach you how to assess the quality of a wine like a pro. This experience will help you acquire the skills you need to elevate your wine knowledge and it’s a great opportunity to meet other wine lovers in Vancouver.

I am a trained sommelier and chef who has traveled the world in search of the best wines I can find. France, Spain, Argentina, New Zealand, Italy—you name it and I've been there to drink. A well-aged, dry Riesling or aromatic Barolo has been known to bring me to tears. I have worked in the wine industry in the vineyards, running wine tours, and in educational programs for seven years.

The private tasting room at Firefly Fine Wines and Ales will be ours for the evening. With a fabulous wine selection surrounding us, fun is guaranteed. You can even find your favorite wine of the night right there after the tasting.
I am so happy I did this. I met wonderful people and tasted so many great wines. It was very educational for me as well. The space was cozy with about 11 people. It was exciting to learn what vineyards could offer my favorite wine, and what wine to pair with my favorite foods. I went alone and am happy to say I left with new friends!

This was one of the few wine tastings that I've been to where I felt like it was okay to actually say what I was tasting or smelling, without the fear that I would be judged for saying something wrong. Robin did a great job explaining the different wines and how to think about wine tastings & food pairings. It was a really enjoyable 3 hours - we drank good wine and I learned a lot. I highly recommend this experience!

This is an intimate and small wine tasting event. We experienced variety of wines from grapes and regions. However, the most interesting part was learning how to smell and taste the wine. We learned how to begin training our noise and developing the language to describe wines. I'd love to do this again with food!
