We will meet at the Namphu Fountain (Rue Pangkham). We then walk through the streets to the night market area. I have curated a special menu from select vendors for the guests. We walk through the lane of street food. During the walk, food options will be introduced. At our first stop, we try Lao meatballs and the Lao version of Pad Thai. This will be followed by traditional noodle with meat broth and Lao herb marinated chicken barbeque with sticky rice. We end our food experience with Lao traditional dessert. I can then guide you back to Namphu or help you find your way to your destination.
Hi! I’m Sudha Wadhwani. I was born and raised in Vientiane. My grandparents settled in Laos right after they got married! I am passionate about Lao street food and would like to share the experience with you on this food tour. As a tourist, it is difficult to understand the language which makes it harder to know what to eat and where to eat! In this tour, you will try some great dishes and will be recommended many more to help you choose your meals for the duration of your stay! While we walk to the food stalls I will also provide you with some local insights and the changes that Vientiane has seen over the last decade! In case, you are wondering if you have to be too adventurous with your food choices for this tour - don't worry! I keep in mind your meat preferences and provide them in local flavors for you!
