With nearly 300 stalls, Trionfale has seemingly endless rows of vendors selling fresh vegetables, fruit, spices, cheese, seafood, meat, and more. See where real Romans go to stock their kitchens, and learn about the secret behind great Italian cuisine—high-quality ingredients.
As we walk through the busy market, you'll have a chance to sample wine, fresh pasta, beef Carpaccio, Pizza ,Cured meat,olive oil e much more!

I was born and raised on the same street where the market is located. While I went to school for law and software engineering, my passion is cooking—and now it has become my job. I'm a chef in my own shop, where we specialize in American, Tex-Mex, vegan, vegetarian, and street food specialties.

Mercato Trionfale opened in 2009, replacing an older outdoor market. It's now the largest indoor market in Rome, mainly catering to locals. After our market visit, we'll end up in my eclectic street food restaurant nearby.

We had a great time with Marco. If you want to see and live like a Roman for half a day, this is a must do. Marco has lived in the neighbourhood all his life and knows everyone there. He takes you through stalls and introduces all types of Italian specialties, and adapts to your taste and requirements. And we had a super talk about politics and Italy today!

Marco is the gem you need to find in Rome! Me and my partner loved the experience, Marco is, not only a knowledgable host, but a very interesting fun person who you just want to hang out with! And of course the food! Everything we tasted was delicious, and we are happy we only had a light breakfast before. The market is gorgeous, and a perfect place to Pick up some food gifts for home. When in Rome, this tour is a MUST! You will not regret booking this market experience with a nice man who grew up in the neighborhood and still lives and works here! We had so much food to eat that I have leftovers for my dinner, and it was all delicious!
