Join us on a gourmet food walk and discover the historical food district of Paris. We’ll taste many regional and national delicacies, and we end our tour in an award winning wine bar, where a flight of French wines served by an expert sommelier will accompany your authentic French lunch. We begin our “Foodie Tour de France” in a typical local bakery. You’ll start the day as many French do, with a coffee and a croissant and your guide will stock up on baguettes for your lunch later on. We'll stroll along the busy rue Montorgueil, stopping at the most delicious boutiques and meeting some of the producers. We'll sample artisanal cheeses in a traditional fromagerie, cured meats at a charcuterie, and visit Paris’ oldest patisserie, founded in 1730 by Marie-Antoinette’s baker and recently winning the prize for the Best Chocolate Éclair; we’ll buy our favorite desserts here, and all along the way we'll shop for provisions as the locals do in preparation for our lunch. Our visit ends in an award winning wine bar, that will open specially for our small group, and where we'll be served a flight of wine by an expert sommelier to go with our lunch. Your experience will end with an authentic and relaxed picnic lunch of a variety of foods and wines, the ideal end to your journey into French gastronomy
