Let’s discover this amazing farmers' market full of colorful flowers and singular and delicious fruits. Taste incredible food you could rarely find somewhere else. It’s an adventure of flavors and scents through the history of agriculture in Colombia.
I’ve lived in Bogota for 12 years and absolutely love this city. Many people consider it just a concrete jungle but I know its hidden gems. Colombia is blessed with a strategic place on earth that allows it to produce fresh fruits and vegetables the year round. Besides, the country has many commercial agreements that give the access to even more products from the rest of latin america and the asia-pacific region. That’s a lot of things to eat! Wow! When you live in this country and know its products you learn to choose the best of the best. Let me show you. I received CPR and first aid certification from the Colombian Red Cross.
A few samples of the fruits
Meeting point: Plaza de Paloquemao main entrance (on 19th street). This farmers' market is just behind Calima mall. There are many spots in the market to locate and admire. At the fruits section we'll taste curious fruits you probably haven't seen ever. The flowers section is full of natural and colorful beauties, specially orchids. When we finish you can buy a refreshing fruit juice or smoothie or I can join you on a sweet shopping spree!
