We meet in front of the huge Parliament building, easily accessible by public transport. After a brief warm-up, we start the c. 6-7 km (~4.5 miles) jog towards the basilica, then across the majestic Chain Bridge and up to the Castle District through charming neighborhoods. Down from castle hill, we cross the peculiar Margaret Bridge to finish into Margaret Island, then stretch with another fantastic view. All that facing only 1(!) street light :) Afterwards, we enjoy a well-deserved drink, while sharing stories about Budapest and answering practical questions about your stay. You even get a medal to commemorate your run. Last but not least, half the benefits go to the charity "Wings for Life" for cutting-edge spinal cord research ("running for those who can't").
I am a regular jogger in Budapest where I have been a professional tour guide since 2008. When training for the occasional amateur half-marathon, I know where to run, and where to find the most beautiful buildings and sights to make up for the effort - be it along the Danube, on Margaret island, or up and down the hills of Buda. While my ideal running pace is between 5' and 6' per km (8' to 9'30 per mile), I will adapt to your group - and feel free to stop for amazing pictures. If you enjoy jogging, do not miss an opportunity to add Budapest to your running board!

We cross 2 unique bridges, with their own colour and style. The Castle District, the Danube banks and the Margaret Island offer amazing views of Budapest and its historical buildings. In the Buda castle district, the Fishermen's Bastion, the Matthias Church and the former Royal Palace are also on our way.
