I go to the farmer's market almost 3 times a week and every time I see very enthusiastic tourists admiring Italian and local products. Very often they ask me if I speak English because they have trouble communicating with the vendors. I would like to guide you through this famous market and help you do some grocery shopping. Furthermore, I will take you to my favorite vendors where you will be able to taste some excellent local products. You can expect to find fruit, veggies, mushrooms, meats, eggs, dairy, baked goods, honey, ready to eat treats and other specialty foods made and sold by independent vendors. Just a few steps away, there's also a very famous Il Mercato Mercerie selling clothing which we can visit afterwards. Both markets are open on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
Before having kids I worked in travel industry for approx. 7 years. I travelled a lot for work and for pleasure. Life with kids is a bit different now... After Rome, Barcelona and Milan, I moved to Como with my family. It's a beautiful city with even more beautiful surroundings. Every day I see hundreds of tourist exploring Como Lake, looking for La Dolce Vita. Going for grocery shopping might seem easy, but very often it can be a real nightmare due to a language barrier. I will teach you some basic Italian that will make the rest of your holiday easier.

We will meet somewhere in the city center, depending where your accommodation is. From there we will go directly to Como Farmer's Market or can stop for a breakfast on the way, if you're hungry.
