I will meet my guests at the Marina, and present my self and the sailboat, providing a short security briefing. When we get in the boat, im going to give you a short theatrical class about sail boat basic nomenclature and how the boat can move forward just using the power of the wind and teach 3 most common sailors knots. Then we set sail and start to sail heading to east of Lisboa, to sail and see the old town. We have to do some tackings before we reach to our first goal if the wind is aligned with it. We will then head down the river, heading to Belém, going with the wind, going to the zone where the monuments is closest to the water. You will be taken up river seeing a panoramic view of the city as you go under the bridge “Ponte 25 de Abril” and observe Cristo Rei in all its majesty. Finish your sailing class tour sailing towards and enjoying a glass of wine and some snacks, while returning to the marina in Alcântara.
I was born on 21th of February 1978 in Vila de Oeiras, located 15 km away from Lisbon, where the river meets the sea. Both sides of my family, from my mothers and my fathers side, are connected to the sport of sailing. My connection to the sea and boats, comes from there. Ever since I started walking I also started sailing with them, particularly my fathers brothers, participating in regattas in rio Tejo and having family cruises. I have a true passion for sailing and this beautiful town and i love to share this beauty with others.
