We'll start with a unforgettable walk in the vineyard, telling the family history of our winery and estate. We'll see the old traditional drying room where the grapes are air dried using Appassimento, a technique for which Amarone is known around the world, followed by a visit to the authentical ancien cellar for vinification and refinement. I explain you how we make our Great Red Wines. The experience finishes with a tasting togheter of a selection of our three fine wines, learning the evaluation by sight, smell, and taste. We'll enjoy the wine with bread and our organic oil, local cheese called Monte Veronese, fresh and aged and local cured meats of Valpolicella, Soppressa. You could enjoy our "Panorama Therapy" on our marvellous terrace on the best view of Valpolicella Classica.

We are a little old Italian winemaker family. Our old rural house, called “Il Gazzo”, was building in 1500: it was a post stop where people stop for sleeping and changing horses in the road to the North. We are committed to making the best handcrafted organic wines and creating the best Valpolicella and Amarone tasting experience. We share our family experience of making wines since 4 generations.

Tenuta Santa Maria Valverde estate belongs to us since 1864. The visit, which offers a dip into Valpolicella Classica area, where we live and make wines in our small authentical old family cellar which is full of aromas of cherry barrels. We love shearing our hands-on approach wine making process.
Bei der Vorbereitung auf unseren Besuch des Valpolicella waren wir auf der Suche nach einem Winetasting in einem Familienbetrieb, bei dem wir auch Einblicke in den ganzen Herstellungsprozess und die Besonderheiten des Amarone bekommen. Mit dem Besuch bei Anna wurden unsere Vorstellungen erfüllt und sogar übertroffen. Anna nahm sich Zeit, um all unsere Fragen zu beantworten, speziell cool war der Exkurs zum Korken. Wer einen vertieften Einblick in einem familiären Ambiente sucht ist hier goldrichtig!

Anna Ilaria is a very special lady and we’re so happy we met and spent time with her in her passions...wine and olive oil. We have done wine tours before but because of her knowledge and passion this one was special. Her wines are therefore unsurprising some of the best we have tasted. A truly unique experience. We were at the winery beginning of September and it was simply stunning. Illaria is such a warm hearted person with a very profound knowledge in the wine field. From that moment I booked the tour, she was so kind and always stayed in touch with me. She also took care of our transport and for a small extra charge we were picked up and brought back directly to our accommodation. We were lucky to be the only ones on that day. We started with a guided tour through the wine yards, then we were led into the wine cellar and finally we had a tasting. We were allowed to taste 3 red wines with a beautiful view and some tasty appetizers. Illaria & Nicola manage to inspire the guest without being too pushy. We would recommend this experience at any time, because it can hardly be surpassed in exclusivity and speciality.
