As a French professionnal sommelier, I propose a premium intimate experience, and I host all the tasting sessions personnally. So if you book this experience, there's no risk to get a random temporary "wine guy " with just an average knowledge about French wines. Once you'll be seated in the charming tasting room in the heart of Latin Quarter, you will discover and taste 4 excellent French wines (2 whites and 2 reds) that you will pair with 4 typical cheeses and some pieces of French baguette. After a quick global introduction about French wine, you will go deeply into the wine regions, the labels of French wines, the grape varietals used etc... All information will be shown on a screen while I will explain in a casual and relax atmosphere details and facts. I'm also here to answer your questions! Wines are coming from small quality winemaker and the cheeses are coming from a famous local cheese shop from the Latin Quarter. You can buy the wine you prefer directly in the place after the tasting session.
Born and raised in Burgundy, I'm a professional sommelier certified by the Wine & Spirit Edication Trust (WSET, level 2 and 3) and also a wine instructor. I love to share my passion for wines with visitors coming from all over the world. I've created my own company, Wine Tasting In Paris, in 2014 to propose wine tasting classes and wine events for travellers, groups or companies. I've developped a clear visual presentation about French wine regions, how to understand them, how to taste wines, read a label etc...and I try to explain this serious content in a casual and friendly way. The tasting takes place in my own private wine shop and tasting room in the Latin Quarter (not in a public, busy and noisy wine bar!) 4 glass of wines 2 white wines and 2 red wines
The tasting room is in a small wine shop in a small cobblestoned street of Latin quarter. The V shape table has no more than 12 seats, so it's small groups only and everyone is perfectly installed to see the screen with maps and pictures of the wine regions.
