We will start the experience in our coffeshop, where we will fit your bike and helmet, and grab a coffee if you like; then depending on the tour we will start from downtown area or we will drive to the mountains where we will being our ride.
During our ride we will pass through fire roads and we will stop in some mining towns, also passing through reservoirs to then arriving back to Guanajuato exploring some of the alleys and tunnels to finalize in our coffeeshop, where we will enjoy a local craft beer to recap our ride

I am the guide of Gto Bike Tours and I invite you to show you my town from a different perspective, you will love the endless trails and mountains. I was and raised here in Guanajuato and I lived in the US for 8 years and my biggest passion in live is Mountain Bike and my hometown.

We will ride through the mountain range and normally it is a bit colder than Guanajuato, we will recommend to bring a jacket, and the downhill back to Guanajuato requieres some skills on the bike.

Highly recommended! Armando was great! The place was beautiful! It's a nice way to get to see areas outside of the city, including some nature and a mining town. Armando also recommended me a restaurant for lunch, gave me recommendations for my next destination and even helped me with a taxi for the airport the next morning.

Great experience for all levels of riders. I was nervous as I’ve never mountain biked before but Armando was helpful and supportive. He picked a route that was good for my level and told me how to ride technical and challenging sections. He was full of insight and information about the Guanajuato area and took out group to see amazing sites. I highly recommend this tour.

I loved this! I'd never been mountain biking before, and it was thrilling. The view from the top of the mountain was breathtaking, and I learned a lot about mining and the history of Guanajuato. I will say it's not for the faint of heart, but if you are relatively fit and have some biking experience, you should be fine.
Overall, I had a blast. Armando and Paula were super friendly and thoughtful, and I would do it again!

I went mountain biking with Paula. She customized the ride to my skill level which was good because the hills in Guanajuato can be brutal. The views were great and Paula was very knowledgeable about the local history and culture which made for a very good experience overall. Beers at the end were a nice bonus. Two thumbs up!

I had such an excellent bike trip with Armando! It was perhaps the top highlight of my trip to Mexico. Armando adjusted the difficulty of the route to match my abilities such that it was challenging but not not TOO challenging. He is very knowledgeable about the area and cycling generally. Armando lived in the United States for many years, so he is fluent in English, which is great because my Spanish is terrible. After the ride, my wife and I joined him for a drink at his mezcal bar (Mezcaleria Infiel), which is worth a visit on its own! We had a wonderful time talking to Armando and I feel I made a true friend.
