Runyon Canyon Park is a 160-acre park at the eastern end of the Santa Monica Mountains. It's a popular spot for hiking, especially among celebrities and dog lovers. At the top there are great views from the Hollywood Sign to the beach!
Ryan and Sam were great hosts! They were very knowledgeable about the location and the dogs. I would definitely recommend this experience for anyone looking for a leisurely activity with a great view at the top. Not to mention, the cost goes to the pups and the rescue.

Ryan and Sam were incredible hosts, and meeting Pink, Toby, Princess, Scruffy and Chico was an absolute highlight of the whole experience. It’s a perfect combination of the tourist stuff (Hollywood sign selfie) and giving some gorgeous furry friends a few hours to meet other dogs. I loved that Ryan and Sam had lots of water and snacks for the digs too, a true testament to how much they care for their well-being.
Ryan and Sam were incredible hosts, and meeting Pink, Toby, Princess, Scruffy and Chico was an absolute highlight of the whole experience. It’s a perfect combination of the tourist…
This was a wonderful experience for us. The dogs were all charming. We got to have some good quality time with dogs that covered a variety of personalities.
Ryan did a great job at pacing the walk and gave us some history of the park. I was a little worried that it would be too long of a steep hike for my daughter, who is generally not keen on hiking, but it was not overly strenuous and having dogs with us made it all fun for her.
The volunteer ‘guides’ were friendly and personable. We are considering getting a dog, so asked Ryan for what he thought might be a good breed (for beginners with a kid, small yard, and allergies) and he had some great advice.
We really enjoyed the experience and felt good that 100% of the fee goes to the non profit and helps fund medical costs for the dogs. (One that we were with had had eye surgery, and another was partially paralyzed.)
I would do it again!

What a great way to get some exercise and exposure to some amazing dogs that were dealt a difficult hand.
These four legged furry balls of love sooooo deserve a chance at a better life and this organization is going above and beyond to ensure they get a chance.
Ryan and crew were very organized and informative of how to best handle dogs that may have some special needs at no fault of their own.
I never once felt like I was going to get bit or have to break up a dog fight — if anything I felt like I was going to need to divide up my love to each and everyone of them.
Book this experience not only for some exercise but to have these dogs bring some joy into your life —-take one or two home !
