You are invited to our atelier in Berlin, Mitte, in the capital of Sustainable Fashion, to work on your first upcycled product. We are part of a new wave of Berlin designers looking to creatively transform and reuse existing resources and contribute to the global movement fighting climate change. While in Berlin, support local design, support yourself and the world around us by making your own souvenir. You will learn to use the sewing machine, by creating your first sustainable piece: choose between a make-up pouch, a party clutch, a fanny pack, a bag or a bagpack. We will work only with second hand clothing or household items and learn how to creatively transform them to create a unique upcycled piece that wears your signature. What better souvenir than your own creation and the sewing skills needed to take the sustainable Berlin vibe back home with you?
Hi there, I am Cristina, tailor, sewing trainer and founder of the sustainable fashion & sewing brand Wieder & Wider. I am also the organizer of the Sewing Sustainability and Fashion Berlin Meetup Group, counting now more than 300 members. I have graduated Women's Tailoring specialization at Salomeia Truta Fashion Institute in Bucharest and for more than 3 years I have been collaborating with Berlin sample ateliers, I have been commissioned by private clients for alteration and adjustments services and I have been developing my own line of upcycled clothing.
Sewing machines, sewing tools, fabrics & clothing for upcycling, straps, bands, closing systems and everything you need to…
Our atelier is located on Rheinhardstrasse, at the Friedrichstrasse S-Bahn station. We have a bright place in a local designer store where you can also shop for made to measure clothing designed and produced in Berlin.
