We will have a relaxed 5 km hike in the centre of Athens, starting in its very core, Syntagma and the commercial triangle, which hosts some of the oldest and greatest souvlaki eateries (that operate only during labour hours). We will then have a small break over a light dessert, that has been around since very long ago. After lunch and dessert, we will have a good amount of easy hiking and we will visit the residential area of Koukaki for a light souvlaki dinner and a visit to one of Athens best butchers, where we will see the parts of meat that are being used to produce the Greek "kalamaki" (meat on the stick), along with the well known "gyros" (layers of meat, stuck on top of each other).
I love great food! I see streetfood as the foundation of all food and tasting courses make me quiet happy, so I thought why not combine both? It started with me and my close ones, then went on with friends visiting me from abroad! We'll be visiting 3 souvlaki eateries in the commercial triangle and 1 pudding eatery in Syntagma for lunch. We'll be visiting 2 souvlaki eateries in Koukaki for light dinner, along with a butcher shop for educational purposes. Please remember this is a spread out tasting course with 5 easy km's of hiking!
