The via ferrata on Monte Averau (2649m), in the heart of the stunning Dolomite mountains, is perfect for beginners with no climbing experience. A network of ladders, steel cables and bridges will allow you to reach the Averau summit in complete safety (you won’t need any technical climbing skills!). In my opinion, the Averau Via Ferrata is one of the best spots in the Dolomites to try your hand at via ferrata. This trip is even suitable for children (over 10 years old), which makes it perfect as a family trip. The Dolomites are considered the birthplace of via ferrata. Many of the routes in the are were built during World War I and used by soldiers to travel these mountains. During our tour, you’ll also get to see trenches and other fortifications that date to WWI. I grew up in the area and will be able to show you all my favorite spots and point to the most famous peaks in this stunning mountain range - including Mount Civetta (3220m) and Mount Pelmo (3168m). It will be a truly magical experience! Come join me!
We have been offering mountain trips in the Dolomites for many years. Gauthier will be your main point of content during the booking process, while Etienne, Robert, Bruno, Renato and Marika will be in charge of showing you a great day in the mountains. All five guides are local to the area and IFMGA certified and will be happy to show you their favorite spots.
