Think of me as your friend in Barcelona who will help you improve your skills, show some of the most photogenic places and have your portrait taken.
We will practice simple techniques which help in developing an ability of seeing beyond the obvious, and creating better photos.
Such as:
Street photography: how to
* get better control of your camera
* create photos that look different from photos created by other people
* develop ability of seeing beyond the obvious
* build composition to make photos look more attractive
* approach location like a sniper
* shoot in different lighting conditions
* take photos of strangers
* create photos that do not look "typical"
* maintain confidence when taking photos of people
Portrait photography:
* We will learn how to talk with a person you photograph in such a way that creates emotions.
As a bonus, I will create a few photos of you in action (if you would be comfortable with your photos being taken:). I will send these photos to you, as a memory of a good time you had.
I will do my best to customize it based on your experience, and what you would like to focus on.
Other things to note
Please bring your camera. Don't worry if your camera is not a "professional" one or if it's a mobile phone. The principles of photography apply to all cameras.

Many thanks to Yan, who made this amazing experience to one I will never forget. With his great knowledge and experience he guides one through the theory of photography and then moving into the application of it.
During this time, you will learn so many things that you can immediately apply while taking your next photo. So, getting amazing results and seeing the improvement in your photography makes it feel very exciting!! He creates such a calm and pleasant atmosphere, by never rushing through the impressive techniques he teaches you and also gives you as much time as you need to try these techniques out on your own.
Yan makes sure to cover all your needs and will answer with great advice if any questions come up.
I really had a great time learning from him and highly recommend it to any person who wants to develop their ability to see things different than the majority does, which includes taking photos that are unique!!

This was my first Airbnb experience, and I’m so glad it was with Yan! Luckily, I was the only person to book that day, and was super grateful for the personalized experience.
I have some experience with photography from a long time ago, and Yan helped me take my skills to the next level. He showed me interesting techniques and had a chance to practice it. But best of all, he helped me think like a photographer and how to take my time.

Yan is a very experienced photographer, and can get you to a point where you think very deeply about the pictures you take. Most definitely several absolute quality shots over multiple potentially okay shots. I had trouble figuring out content in my shots, and how to get the best picture I can get, and Yan, with his long history of expertise was able to convey that to me. He will also take his time to help build a relationship with you and get your understanding with your camera, and will convey tremendous tips so you understand each and every setting. I wish I had done this earlier, rather than later in my trip to help make my photos more stunning. He will give you tips around town and even take some professional level photos as an example as well!

I ended up having a private experience for this tour so we really had a chance to dive into some techniques that made me a better photographer. The day started with pouring rain but while we had coffee it let up and we had some amazing light and reflections. Yan was excellent at challenging me and keeping us moving forward. I highly recommend this experience.

I would really recommend this course as it just takes 2 hours and Yen is really passionate about photography. He first goes through the theory and then gives you exercises. Within 2 hours you’ll be able to learn and apply new things and it feels really exciting. It is definitely worth the time and money, even if you have a little knack for photography or are just willing to pump up your insta game. Cheers❗️
