We'll meet at 10am at the Saint Emilion train station and once we're ready, we'll start our walk towards the city. We'll take an alternative road, passing through some beautyfull wineyards and etering Saint Emilion through the East, where the only medieval gate still stands. Once inside the walls, we'll explore the narrow streets and steep paths towards each of the great monuments and buildings that compose the city. We'll visit the best vantage points to appreciate the weird and beautyfull mashup of architectural styles, actually seeing the marks of history in the many faces of the city. Depending on the willingness of the participants, we can climb the huge medieval bell tower wich stands in the center of the city, and expierence one of the best views of the region. Around 12:30, we'll set ourselves in the shade of one of the old gates and have our outdoors lunch, all with a couple of bottles of amazing Saint Emilion Wine. During our lunch, I can help you plan the rest of your day, which visits can you do and how to discover the other great attractive of Saint Emilion: Wine.
I'm Pablo, a former IT guy who, as many others, is chasing his dreams of doing what he loves for a living. After deciding to change careers I was lucky enough to be hired as a tour guide in the medieval village of Saint Emilion. During the year that I worked there, I discover an incredibly beautyfull, old, complicated and even mystic place and something about myself: I enjoy very much helping others to discover and enjoy the things that i'm pasisonate about, and I'm good at it. Saint Emilion blew my mind when I learnt its history and I would like evyrone who comes to this region to have that chance as well. Now I'm starting my own thing in tourism and I want to spend more time in that amazing place and help others to discover it. You can ask me for the links to many comments posted about my performance as a guide in St Emilion.
