We'll meet at a bike shop at Havelock North Village and get you kitted out with a full suspension bike and helmet. Then we'll start our Fully Guided tour, following a web of trails to the Tauroa Road car park and start exploring. A must do and your first mission is to ride right to the top (the trig station) where you have 360 views of Hawke’s Bay. From here take in the sights of the coast (Waimarama & Ocean Beach), Te Awanga, Napier Hill, Mahia, Ruahine & Kaweka Ranges, as well as Mount Ruapehu. From here we'll lead down a number of the trails taking you down exposed hillside terrain and through native bush. Within your guided time you will get to experience a variety of the trails on offer or and possibly the favourites a couple of times. The half day tour takes around 4 hours. Groups of 3 or more: For groups of three or more we can provide this Experience at a cost of $130 pp for the third and subsequent riders. Just let us know when booking and we can adjust the price accordingly.
This experience will be guided by our expert on everything biking - Haedyn. About Haedyn: "I live to Ride and I'm so proud of where we live and the trails here and would love the chance to share my local knowledge of the best tracks with visitors. We figure people aren’t often here for long so why waste time trying to figure the trails out yourself when you can have a local to guide you and give you some tips along the way if you’d like. I've been riding bikes most of my life starting with BMX where I was a National #3 age group rider in my teens and as a Masters in my 30s, I've coached BMX for a time then decided to grow up and ride XC and Single speed and raced and placed nationally in both these disciplines. I'm also an avid Road Cyclist and an A grade Hawkes Bay Local rider."
