Some like it tangy, some sweet, and of course – some like it HOT! Learn about mouth-watering flavours that make Indian cuisine so distinct, walking around fresh fruit and vegetable markets, we'll share our favourite recipes handed down the generations - just how grandma used to make them! Browse treasure troves of shops housing brightly coloured saris and ornate traditional jewellery, as Uma shares the fashion trends made famous worldwide by India’s Bollywood stars Vikash will share the history of this unique Indian-East African community which settled here in the 1970’s, whose influence has become the fabric of British Indian society today To end, spend time at a majestic Hindu temple with beautiful intricate carvings of ancient Indian art handcrafted in a rural village in India. It really is the jewel in the crown of our little India!

We're a couple born and brought up in the heart of Indian community in North West London, so we are always trying to bring together the vibrancy of our Indian roots with the modernity of our British upbringing - blending the two the cultures and taking what we love from both! Vikash is a local history teacher and all round history buff particularly in British Indian history. Uma, an artist at heart when she can get away from the 9-5 grind, is a lover of all things creative be it through food, fashion or culture and dance. We'd love to meet you and share our unique corner of London with you!
