We start our tour at Golden Gate, the ancient entrance to the city. We will explore the most historical part of Kiev both on and off the beaten track. You'll witness the history of the city from pagans, through cosacs and tsar periods up to modern day. You will see how modern art lives side by side with medieval temples, how historical neighborhoods have become the platform for hipster culture in Kiev. We will garnish our tour with couple local pastries to treat ourselves. We will finish our tour near independence square were I invite you to share a glass of local drink and will give you more advise of must-to-do things in Kiev. They say Kiev stands on 7 hills, like Jerusalem, so don’t forget your sneakers as even thought these hills are paved, they are pretty hard to climb on.
Hi, my name is Sergey. I'm a local guide, language teacher, leather crafter and traveler. I live in Kiev for over a decade and even after all these years I am still in love with this city and it keeps surprising me. It took years for me to discover hidden gems that I want you do experience in less then a day. Kiev has a lot to offer, you just need to look carefully. When traveling abroad, I do my best to get to know the city "like a local" because this is the only way to experience the unique atmosphere of the city. I would love to help you to enjoy Kiev like locals do!
