This private guest suite includes one bedroom with full bath, washer and dryer, living room with a pull out sofa bed, TV, kitchenette, dining area, reading area, small playroom for littles and an office space. Less than 20 min. drive to Baptist Hospital and Dtwn Winston, 25 min. to HP and 30 min. to GSO.

Our home is located near downtown Kernersville with a private-entrance basement ( separated by stairwell, no door*). The private bedroom has a pillow-top mattress, private bathroom, and full access to remainder of basement with three couches and full fridge + kitchenette (Keurig, toaster-oven, stove burner). This location is minutes from I-40 (15-25 minutes to Greensboro/Winston. Please note, we live upstairs with 2 kids so there will likely be noise in the afternoon; inquire for details!

Enjoy your stay in Historic Old Salem

Step back in time and place into the historic village of Salem -- the name chosen by Moravian settlers in 1766 because it means "Peace." Over 150 years later, Mr. Owens, a successful RJR tobacco executive, built the house at 416 South Main Street in Winston-Salem for his family. In 1930-31 he gave the property to the Moravian Church. The Church divided the large house into Upstairs and Downstairs apartments used until 2017 by missionary families and by other friends of the Church.

We love our comfy third floor condo with elevator access. Whether you are in town for business or pleasure, this condo fits the bill. Walk to Old Salem, UNCSA, and Salem College. Jog or bike Salem Creek trail, which is at our doorstep. Stroll through Old Salem on your way to downtown’s amazing eateries and breweries. Close by are Wake Forest University, WSSU and downtown Winston-Salem, and hospitals - this condo is central to anywhere in the Winston-Salem area.

The Historic Shaffner Inn: Falls Room

The Falls room, with a Queen Victorian theme, is a spacious size and is situated on the second floor. It offers an abundance of natural light and abounds in rich elegance.
