The HH Whitney House is conveniently located close to the French Quarter, Treme, The Fairgrounds, City Park, Mid-City, Bourbon Street, Frenchmen Street and all sorts of historical sites, attractions, restaurants, clubs and shops. You'll love the proximity to area attractions, the relaxed atmosphere, the comfortable beds, the pool, hot tub and garden space and the historical charm. Our Garden Suite is one of five guest rooms and offers the most privacy of all of our spaces, perfect for a couple.

Balcony Suite where French Quarter meets Frenchmen

Ruthie’s Balcony Suite bears the name of our beloved family matriarch. And for good reason. It’s the best room in the house. Vaulted ceilings soar above a huge bedroom/living area, including a spacious kitchenette and full-sized bathroom. But it’s the balcony you’ll love most. Overlooking the corner of Esplanade and Chartres, it’s the perfect place to people-watch while enjoying the pot pourri of sounds that drift over from the nearby markets, jazz clubs, and bustling Mississippi waterfront.

The Balcony Suite is an intimate space with a private bathroom. It was recently Restored/Renovated with new furnishings and fixtures. Monday-Friday 8-5 we're not a quiet corner but on any night it’s relaxing, providing a restful night. Our neighbor, Race & Religious, hosts weddings with live music but never past 11PM. If you need to go to bed early, we might not be a good fit. Uniquely located, close to the Garden District, Arts/Museum District, French 1/4 and the Conventional Center

FQ Home, 1 blk to Frenchmen St, Private Courtyard

Our sophisticated shotgun style home is conveniently located near the French Quarter & only one block to Frenchmen St/Esplanade Ave; highly walkable, fun, active area! Unwind in the courtyard and let the distant sounds of Jazz bands have you saying "Laissez Les Bons Temps Rouler!". Free first come first serve street parking and metered/paid parking in the area. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee you will find free parking due to the activity of the French Quarter.

Cook a great meal in our spacious kitchen or relax in the shaded backyard with a cocktail before heading out to the French Quarter.

1 BD Suite B or 2 BD Garden District

High ceilings with intricate plaster detail are featured in an antebellum mansion home built in 1851 which sits right in front of the streetcar/trolley stop. A great experience to be right there on "the Avenue" under the 250 year old oak trees. You can take our self guided walking tour through the Garden District and see one home after another built in 1800's, with names of architect (if known), year built and who lived there.

The Orleans Grand Suite offers our guests elegant loft accommodations just Blocks from the French Qtrs. Your suite is equipped with a King Bed and Private en-suite bath. There is a separate sitting area with a convertible trundle bed for your convenience. This beautifully decorated gem has vaulted ceiling with skylights and quiet serine private balcony overlooking the property. A 55" SMART TV and WIF is available.
