Cob Cottage

Channel the pursuit of pause in this one-of-a-kind earth house. The cozy retreat was hand-sculpted using local and sustainable natural materials, and features a central living space with cantilevered slab stairs leading to the loft bedroom. Guests have access to the entire cottage and surrounding property. We live in the neighbouring house, and are happy to give advice or answer questions to help you make the most of your stay. The neighborhood is quite rural and mostly agricultural with several farms and a small private vineyard. The home is a 10 minute walk from the beach and a 20 minute walk from a family grocery and deli specializing in local organic produce. Mayne Island has a small community bus. Times and routes are limited, particularly in the winter. It will stop at the driveway. We also have an official hitch hiking system with signed Car Stops where you can wait for a ride. Usually you don't have to wait long. We are happy to offer pickup and drop off at the ferry dock as a courtesy to encourage car-free travellers, on days when the community bus is not running. Please let us know ahead of time that you'll be coming without your own transportation, and we will make sure that either we or the community bus (which will drop you off at our driveway) are there to meet you when your ferry arrives. The BC Ferries terminals near Victoria and Vancouver are easily reachable via public transit from their respective airports and downtowns.

Experience paradise! Private entrance to lower level of house, 2 en-suite BR's w/ queen beds + 2 twin sofas beds in LR. Only a mile from the ferry, activities and shops in the Town of Friday Harbor. When settled into your waterfront home away from home, breathing sea air and gazing at Griffin Bay and the Olympic Mountains, you'll find peace and serenity. The expansive view embraces Dinner Island, sunrise and sunset colors dancing on the water, shoreline, beaches, and occasional boating activity.

Ideal for 2 couples. Located halfway between the town & American Camp with easy access to miles of hiking trails & bicycle routes. Although only minutes from town you experience the country side.

Winding through a Madrona forest hillside on the coveted Westside of San Juan Island, Haro Sunset House greets you with sweeping views from Vancouver Island to Salt Spring Island to the North. This home is known for its stunning views from the expansive deck and with amazing wildlife viewing. The home is near San Juan County Park for beach access and the iconic Lime Kiln Light House. Cottage is only 7 minutes from downtown Friday Harbor, South Beach, or Lime Kiln Whale Watch Park. Enjoy end-of-the-road privacy with your host on the acreage to ensure your stay is perfect.

Heron’s Nest Cabin sits on a wooded hillside above Hale Passage and Bellingham Bay — a two-bedroom island retreat where towering firs, filtered water views, and a cedar hot tub under the trees set the tone from the moment you arrive. Guests consistently call this one of the most restorative places they’ve ever stayed: a soaking cedar hot tub, a wood stove to curl up beside, heated bathroom floors, vaulted ceilings, and a fully outfitted kitchen for slow mornings and easy dinners.

Windance Cottage

Northwewst contemporary designed guest house. Lots of sunlight and great views of the Straights, Mountains and an abundance of sea life, eagles, deer, fox, and other wildlife. Private tennis court with basketball hoops. Private cove to launch your kayak or just some great tide pooling. Note; Owners home is on the property. The cottage sets back approximately a football field away from the main house, affording it’s own privacy. Owners are normally always on property.

This property is within walking distance of Mt. Grant and close to both Mt. Young and British Camp.

Our place is located on the San Juan Golf Course (Full Bar, and great lunch restaurant). About two miles from the airport, Three miles from Friday Harbor center, parks, nightlife, and public transport. You’ll love our place because of the proximity to the golf course, close to Town, the coziness, quiet and rural location, and the friendly people. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers or attending weddings.
