Rustic, Charming, 2 Story Log Cabin, seen on “Alaska: the Last Frontier"; part of our 620 acre Kilcher Homestead. Views of meadows, bay, glaciers, mountains. Walks on Kilcher beach. Settle into a more rustic, serene way of life. Wifi, electricity, hot water, and with private outdoor pit toilet/“outhouse”, and shared shower and WD and Near 2 other cabins on our “headquarter's site”, which is restricted to only 5 paying guests total. This is a working homestead, you’ll see us around being busy!

Lazy J Homestead Cabin

Located 18 miles outside of Homer. Hand built here on the ranch in the style of my family's hunting cabins; with a few finishing touches. Offering a full kitchen, bathroom , shower, this cabin has electric lights and a oil heater in place of the temperamental wood stoves. Our area offers stunning views of Kachamack bay, our small ranch and peony farm. Note that cell service will likely drop off a few miles before you reach the cabin. please read more in "The space" section of this listing.

This spot is close enough to enjoy the shops and cuisine of Homer 15 mins away, or enjoy the solitude and grab a cocktail at The Homestead nearby. Four miles beyond us takes you to Eveline State Rec Area. The cabin is cozy- monitor heat or the warmth of late day sun through the southwest facing picture windows.
