Rude Bastards tour of Berlin

My tour of Berlin is very different than the usual Politically correct BS. Actually, think of this as the Politically incorrect tour of Berlin, so feel free to bring along your favorite rude jokes when joining us. It will be full of bad language and bad taste jokes-while paying respect where it is due. No snowflakes allowed! Our exploration will involve memorials, monuments and graves, along with churches and parks. We will discuss a mix of history, current events, local cuisine, the best spots for a cold German beer by the city center of Berlin. Be prepared to be socially active. Other things to note The tour is meant for adults, 18 or older. Each guide will be identified with a small yellow flag and our name!

Techno Painting with a Berlin Artist

I would like to invite you for a 2.5 hour workshop, to paint together, to discuss art and music, and to get acquainted with Berlin’s unique Techno scene. This workshop is meant for you to express your creativity. You won’t need to buy materials and you don’t need to have prior painting experience. You just need to show up and enjoy the process. In the end you will have a beautiful work of art (acrylic on canvas), made by you, ready to be hung on your walls. How it goes: First we will explore the creative process, and decide on the color palette for each person. Then we will absorb ourselves in the music and learn how to translate its energy into painting. You will be personally instructed in the unique technique and the use of colors. We will begin to work in layers of color. You will be immersed in the creative process, forgetting your everyday life and expressing your inner playfulness. We will take one break to dry the layers, discuss the process, evaluate the outcome so far and decide how to proceed. During the break drinks will be served. While we're painting I will gladly share the "secrets" of Berlin's club culture. Discussing the dress codes and door policies of the major clubs, where I party every weekend. Join me for a canoe trip through the heart of Kreuzberg, one of the city’s most fascinating and diverse neighbourhoods. The trail between Urbanhafen and Oberschleuse offers many highlights. As we traverse the historic Landwehr canal and continue right up to an exceptionally beautiful part of the River Spree, you’ll soak up the mood of this open-minded, multicultural and alternative part of the city. Beginning at the harbour of the Urbanhafen, we’ll pass under the Admiral Bridge, paddle past the Turkish market, continuing via the canal through residential, urban and nightlife-rich areas till we reach the Spree. Other things to note I recommend everyone wears a hat and sunscreen. If you are prone to burning, long sleeves too!

Portraits with a Berlin Native Photographer

The goal of this experience is to help you get away with some lasting memories of your visit to Berlin. No more selfie-sticks and photos with a bunch of tourists in it. No more "excuse me, could you take a picture of us" only to end up with a rather blurry shot ;). You absolutely don't need any previous experiences in modeling or sth. like that. I know very well that it can be a bit intimidating to be in front of the camera. I will always show you the photos in between to get a better idea of which photos you like. We'll explore some of the coolest underground places in Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg! I will show you unique spots in this area as well as provide tips about photography and instagram. Berlin at Twilight / A Guided Photo Tour & Workshop

Everybody takes photos nowadays, especially while traveling. But there's a distinct difference between snapping a quick shot of a landmark and carefully crafting a photograph. The goal of this photowalk through the center of Berlin is to provide you with the basic photographic skill set to capture some of Berlin's most iconic landmarks in the best light. The blue hour is when a city is most photogenic. It's the time of day when natural and artificial light are equally bright and complement each other perfectly. Did you ever wonder how to capture those cool light-trails or how to get a shot of a famous landmark without any people in it? Well, I will happily share all of the tips and tricks I use myself to capture cityscapes during the blue hour. After providing an overview of the technical aspects of night and cityscape photography, we will dive right into it, apply what we've learned, and test it in the field. This way you will not only end up with some stunning shots for your social media, but also with the knowledge to make your next city trip a photographic success, too. Other things to note The only thing you'll need to bring is your own camera. In case you don't own a camera, please let me know in advance and I can lend you one. I can provide two tripods in case you don't have one or don't want to bring it. You should wear comfortable shoes since we will walk a bit ;).
