Stunning views of Ullswater... Very special... Perfect... Well equipped... Spotless and clean... Fantastic host... No picture of our panoramic view can really do justice to The Garden Flat. But we hope those words from our most recent reviews do. The flat is in an elevated 19th century former hunting lodge. The Ullswater Way walking route is at the end of the drive. Down the hill is the Brackenrigg Inn, with its own microbrewery, and Another Place, with lake swimming and spa facilities.

We are located in Patterdale, on the southern tip of Ullswater and at the foot of Helvellyn. Our location is perfect for bagging a Wainwright or two, running a Lakeland trail or going for a trip on an Ullswater Steamer, a great starting point to walk Helvellyn & Striding Edge too. We are enroute for both Wainwright's C2C walk and the Ullswater Way. Built in 1902, this self contained apartment was historically the station end of Patterdale Police Station.
